Water pump.
This is an original equipment (OE) water pump supplied by Porsche for the coolant circulation system of high-performance petrol engines. The engine water pump drives coolant flow through the engine’s cooling passages, radiator, and associated components. It ensures that heat generated by the engine is effectively moved out of the combustion chambers and out through the radiator, maintaining stable engine temperatures and preventing overheating during all driving conditions - from daily street use to spirited driving and highway cruising.

Function:
•  Circulates coolant throughout the engine cooling system.
•  Supports stable engine operating temperatures to prevent thermal stress.
•  Facilitates heat exchange between the engine and radiator.
•  Protects the engine from temperature-related wear and heat-induced failure.
•  Often includes the pump impeller, shaft, bearings, and seal optimized for longevity and performance.

A failing water pump can lead to coolant leaks, overheating, strange noises from the drive area, and eventually engine damage if not addressed.

The engine water pump is a critical component in maintaining the performance and durability of your Porsche’s engine. Because it constantly circulates coolant, its bearings and internal seals are subject to wear over time. A failing pump can lead to:
  Coolant leakage
  Overheating engine
  Erratic temperature gauge readings
Unusual noises from the cooling system
Increased stress on the thermostat and radiator.

When to replace. Replace the water pump when:
There is visible coolant leakage around the pump or weep hole
The engine overheats or cooling performance degrades
You hear noise or roughness from the pump area
You are servicing the cooling system or replacing the timing belt/drive components
The pump shows age-related wear or operational irregularities
Timely replacement helps avoid costly engine damage and ensures reliable heat management.

About Engine Cooling

Porsche Engine Cooling Parts

Keeping your Porsche’s engine at the correct temperature is critical for both performance and reliability. At Design911, we supply a comprehensive range of engine cooling parts for every Porsche model — from classic air-cooled cars to the latest water-cooled performance machines.

Our collection includes everything from water and oil hoses to radiators, water pumps, oil coolers, thermostats, coolant tanks, and oil reservoirs — all at highly competitive prices. Whether you need a direct replacement for road use or a high-performance upgrade for track days, we have you covered.

What Porsche Engine Cooling Parts Are Available?

We stock a wide range of cooling system components, including:

  • Water Hoses & Oil Hoses – reliable replacements to keep fluids flowing under pressure
  • Radiators – OE-spec replacements and high-performance race radiators
  • Water Pumps & Oil Pumps – essential for maintaining correct circulation
  • Oil Coolers – control oil temperature under high loads and spirited driving
  • Thermostats – regulate engine operating temperatures
  • Coolant Tanks & Oil Tanks – durable reservoirs designed to OEM standards
  • Sensors & Switches – keep the cooling system responsive and efficient

We also supply premium engine oils and antifreeze/coolant — essential for year-round protection against freezing, overheating, and corrosion.

Why Engine Cooling is Essential

Your Porsche’s cooling system is the life support of the engine. Radiators, pumps, hoses, and coolers maintain safe operating temperatures and prevent catastrophic damage. A single failed component can lead to overheating, loss of oil pressure, or even engine failure.

That’s why it’s vital to maintain these parts and replace them promptly if you notice leaks, cracks, or performance issues.

Performance & Motorsport Cooling

Looking for more than just a replacement? Our race-spec radiators and oil coolers are engineered to deliver maximum cooling efficiency, helping you get the most out of your Porsche on the track. These high-performance systems handle extreme heat and stress, ensuring consistent results lap after lap.

How Often Should Engine Coolant Be Changed?

Coolant provides year-round protection against both freezing and corrosion. On most Porsche models, coolant levels are checked during regular servicing, and low levels will trigger a dashboard warning.

  • Check coolant regularly and top up as needed.
  • Replace coolant periodically according to Porsche’s service intervals.
  • Always handle coolant with care - the reservoir is pressurised, and opening it when hot can cause burns. Allow the engine to cool before unscrewing the cap, cover it with a cloth, and open slowly to release pressure safely.

Why Choose Design911 for Cooling Parts?

  • Huge Range – from OEM replacements to high-performance upgrades
  • OEM & Aftermarket Options – trusted quality for every budget
  • Worldwide Delivery – expertly packed to prevent damage in transit
  • Customer Support – our Porsche specialists can help you select the right part for your model

Shop Porsche engine cooling parts today – from hoses and pumps to radiators and thermostats – and keep your Porsche running at peak performance.
