Installation instructions

The direct oil feed (DOF) solution uses a patent pending custom made Intermediate Shaft Flange that utilizes a direct oil feed to the original Intermediate Shaft Bearing. It uses an adapted pressure fed oil line from a positive oil pressure feed on the cylinder head directly to an opening in the custom Intermediate Shaft Flange. This feeds fresh oil directly to the open end of the IMS bearing (after removing the seal to expose the ball bearings on the IMS bearing). By using a positive oil feed from the engine's cylinder head valve cover, there will always be a consistent flow of oil directed to the open end of the intermediate shaft bearing.

This is a cost effective way to help protect against a possible IMS bearing failure, using the original bearing. The system, however can also be used when replacing the bearing with a new SKF steel ball bearing for added insurance with a new, zero mile bearing.

The all mighty 996 Turbo may be the perfect Porsche of them all to benefit from the IPD Plenum. Horsepower and torque gains are substantial and immediate (no adaptation required).

Horsepower improvements range from 30 to 35 and boost response improves considerably making for longer, stronger and of course more pleasurable power curves. The IPD plenum develops horsepower throughout the entire power band, especially where it's needed most, from mid range to top end.

Installation of the 996 Turbo Plenum is very challenging and installation should only be performed by a seasoned and qualified Porsche technician.

The 996 Turbo 74mm "Competition" Plenum is designed to function with more seriously modified Turbos developing over 600+ horsepower. Although this 74mm application has been used with great success on a variety of Turbos ranging from mildly modified to 1000+ HP.

This application requires the larger 74mm Porsche throttle body (additional purchase required) and comes with additional hardware to complete the kit. This "Competition Turbo" Plenum will help modified 996 Turbos realize maximum performance.


The increased air flow and air speed develop by the larger Plenum is designed to work with larger turbos, intercoolers, intake piping, high flow Y Pipes and more aggressive software.

Horsepower gains start around 35 hp and deliver max power slightly higher in the rev range creating better top end performance without the drop in power experienced with the factory air distributor.

It has been developed to solve the twisting of the last journal of the crank shaft, reducing engine vibration and extending engine life. Prevent engine failure, by replacing your factory rear main seal with our upgraded rear main bearing seal and housing.

Scavenging and aeration in the oil pan have been identified as a problem in 996/997, Boxster, and Cayman models experiencing high G-forces on the racetrack. The R-9095 oil pan spacer provides a simple solution. This spacer increases sump capacity by half a quart, providing more reserve to ward off starvation. The R-9095 is approved by the Porsche Club of America for use in PCA club racing Stock and Prepared class cars. The R-9095 kit clears all factory options including the rear skid plate. Added oil capacities as well as increased oil pan surface area increase oil cooling and engine performance.

*Note: Oil pan and sump baffle are OEM parts and do not need to be purchased. Baffle spacer and pick-up tube spacer are included in this kit.

What size serpentine belt to run when using an under drive pulley?

The stock serpentine belt length for a 986 Porsche Boxster or Porsche 996 with air conditioning is 2115mm Porsche part # 996 102 151 64. If you remove the air conditioning but keep the stock drive pulley you will need a new serpentine belt that is 1930mm in length. If you then decide to add an underdrive pulley in the range of 4.25 to 5 inches in diameter you will need a belt 1905mm in length. For those of you who would like to add an under drive pulley with air conditioning, the proper length is 2101mm.

Please note: the threads needs to be treated with loctite before installation (not sold with the product).

Replacing your factory engine mounts with these performance semi-solid mounts will dramatically decrease engine movement which then will result in better acceleration and handling of your Porsche.

CNC machined mounts with PU bushes are absolute must have for any car on track or on the street. Very easy to replace by experienced DIYers.

Solid engine mounts are a smart upgrade to any track or aggressive street car, and were installed on Porsche factory race cars. Stock mounts are made of compliant rubber, and contribute to imprecise shifting and inferior throttle response. Solid mounts create slightly more interior vibration than rubber mounts, but securely connect the engine and transmission assembly to the car's unibody, creating a crisper throttle response and shifter feel. Increase your engine output by reducing the draw of the engine's ancillaries ie the power steering pump, Air Conditioning, water pump and alternator by slowing them down and reducing the horsepower they use.

Underdrive pulley is one of the cheapest returns for the money spent when it comes to actual performance and horsepower gains for track and street use cars.

Installation tool (wrench) included, new OEM crankshaft pulley bolt is recommended but not included with this product.
