Powered by a 2.5 litre, the Boxster’s name was a portmanteau of ‘boxer’ – the industry nickname for the flat six engine’s opposing piston configuration, which simulated the arms of a pugilist, and ‘roadster’. Shocks for the system.

All that twisting and turning puts strain on the shock absorber mountings. This OE Match assembly includes a shock absorber bellow, bump stop, supporting plate, compensating plate, washers and a nut. In the same ballpark, it’s worth checking the shock absorber mounting plate, or replacing it ‘just in case’.
