Rear Carbon-Ceramic Brake Disc & Pad Package by Ninemeister for Porsche 992.2 Carrera S and GTS models from 2024 onwards. This matched rear-axle package combines two-piece floating carbon-ceramic brake discs with road-compound pads developed specifically for use against carbon-ceramic friction surfaces.

Fits

  • Porsche 992.2 Carrera 2S 3.0L 2024>>
  • Porsche 992.2 Carrera 2 GTS 3.6L 2024>>
  • Porsche 992.2 Carrera 4 GTS 3.6L 2024>>

What This Product Does

The package renews the rear disc and pad friction components as a compatible set. The discs use a carbon-fibre structure reinforced with silicon carbide, while the supplied low-metallic pads provide a controlled friction level with progressive modulation and release characteristics for road use.

Functions

  • Replaces worn or damaged rear carbon-ceramic brake discs
  • Provides a matched disc and pad combination
  • Maintains a stable rear braking friction surface
  • Reduces unsprung mass compared with conventional cast-iron discs
  • Supports repeated heat management through the carbon-ceramic construction
  • Produces less brake dust than typical cast-iron disc and pad combinations

Technical Details

  • Rear disc dimensions: 390 x 32 mm
  • Two-piece floating disc construction
  • Carbon-fibre long-strand structure reinforced with silicon carbide
  • CNC-machined 7075-T6 billet aluminium centre bells with a hard-anodised finish
  • Disc weight stated by the manufacturer: 6.4 kg
  • Low-metallic, resin-bonded road pads containing steel and aramid fibres; suitable only for carbon-ceramic discs

Symptoms of Fault

  • Brake judder or vibration under deceleration
  • Visible disc chipping, cracking or surface damage
  • Discs approaching their specified minimum thickness
  • Glazed, contaminated or unevenly worn brake pads
  • Reduced initial brake response
  • Noise or inconsistent braking from the rear axle

Why Replacement Matters

Carbon-ceramic discs and their compatible pads should be inspected as a complete friction system. Replacing damaged or worn components together helps avoid running new pads against an unsuitable disc surface or fitting a pad compound that is not intended for carbon-ceramic material. Before installation, inspect the calipers, wear sensors and fitting hardware, and confirm whether any reusable or one-time-use parts must be renewed separately.

FAQs

  • Are the pads suitable for cast-iron discs? No. The supplied road pads are specified only for carbon-ceramic brake discs.
  • Can these discs replace original PCCB components? They are designed as a direct-fit replacement for the relevant rear PCCB disc application.
  • Should discs and pads be changed together? Renewing them as a matched package provides compatible friction materials and fresh mating surfaces.
  • Are wear sensors and fitting hardware included? Package contents should be checked before installation, as sensors, fixings and other one-time-use hardware may be required separately.
  • Is bedding-in required? Follow the supplied Ninemeister running-in procedure and avoid severe braking until the new friction surfaces have been conditioned correctly.
