The Retro Trim ST Seat Shell Kit recreates the classic bucket seat style found in early Porsche 911 competition models and sports configurations of the 1960s and early 1970s. Supplied for a 5-point belt arrangement, this version includes rosettes to finish the belt cut-outs.

Handmade using a lightweight glass fibre shell, the ST combines authentic period styling with a slightly taller and wider design for improved comfort and accommodation of taller drivers.

This version incorporates dedicated waist/lap belt openings and rosettes for a 5-point harness.

Classic Porsche ST-Inspired Design

The ST-style bucket seat was used in early Porsche 911s and other competition cars of the period, including Ford applications.

Retro Trim has retained the distinctive shape and support of the original ST design while introducing subtle changes to make the seat more practical for today's classic Porsche driver.

The shell is slightly taller and wider than the original, providing additional space without losing its period appearance.

Lightweight Glass Fibre Shell

The ST uses a lightweight glass fibre shell with a laminated-in reinforcement grid around the mounting areas.

This provides additional support at the seat mounting points while maintaining the lightweight construction associated with classic competition seats.

Duralastic suspension belts work with the fire-resistant foam to provide a firm but comfortable seating position suitable for road, rally and historic motorsport use.

Designed for a 5-Point Harness

This version incorporates openings to correctly route the waist/lap belts of a 5-point harness and is supplied with rosettes for these openings.

The seat design also provides guidance for the harness belts while maintaining the appearance and supportive profile of the original ST seat.

Harness installation must use suitable vehicle mounting points and follow the harness manufacturer's instructions and any applicable motorsport regulations.

Lower Seating Options for Taller Drivers

The redesigned ST is slightly taller and wider than the original to accommodate a broader range of drivers.

For particularly tall drivers, the seat can also be customised with a lower seating position, providing additional headroom while retaining the appearance of a traditional ST-style bucket seat.

Original-Style Recaro Mounting Pattern

The seat incorporates both the Retro Trim mounting pattern and an original-style Recaro mounting pattern.

This allows the ST to be used with suitable original or original-style sliders and brackets, making it easier to incorporate into period-correct classic car installations.
