Featuring an integrated retaining strap, the cap remains attached to the vehicle when removed for refuelling, reducing the risk of loss or damage.
An ideal replacement for a missing, damaged or worn original fuel cap.
Key Features
- Genuine Porsche fuel tank filler cap
- Complete with integrated retaining strap
- Helps seal the fuel filler neck securely
- Reduces the risk of fuel vapour escaping
- Helps prevent dirt and moisture entering the fuel system
- Convenient retaining strap keeps the cap attached during refuelling
- Direct replacement for the specified Porsche models
- Manufactured to original Porsche fitment specifications.
Why Replace This Part?
Fuel tank caps are exposed to repeated handling, petrol vapours and temperature changes. Over time, the sealing components may deteriorate, while the retaining strap can become brittle or break.
A worn or damaged cap may no longer seal correctly, potentially causing fuel odours or fuel tank ventilation-related fault messages.
Replacing it with a Genuine Porsche fuel tank cap helps restore correct sealing and the original refuelling arrangement.
Common Reasons for Replacement
- Missing or lost fuel filler cap.
- Broken or damaged retaining strap.
- Worn or deteriorated cap seal.
- Fuel odour around the filler neck.
- Cap no longer tightens securely.
- Cracked or damaged cap housing.
- Replacement during fuel filler neck repairs.
- Restoration using Genuine Porsche components.
Where It Fits on the Car
The cap fits onto the fuel filler neck behind the exterior fuel filler flap.
The retaining strap connects the cap to the vehicle's filler area, allowing it to remain attached while refuelling.
