Manufactured from high-quality automotive-grade EPDM rubber, the plug is engineered to resist moisture, UV exposure, ozone, temperature extremes and continual vibration without hardening, shrinking or cracking. Precision-moulded to fit 20mm diameter apertures, it provides direct OE-style installation, making it ideal for replacing missing, damaged or deteriorated body plugs during restoration, accident repair or routine maintenance.

What This Product Does:

Seals 20mm factory access holes within the door assembly.
Prevents the ingress of water, dust and road debris.
Helps protect the inside of the door from corrosion.
Reduces the risk of moisture entering the door cavity.
Maintains the original appearance of the bodywork.
Provides a secure, vibration-resistant fit.
Restores factory sealing performance.
Forms an essential part of the vehicle's body sealing system.

Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:

Missing rubber plug.
Cracked, hardened or split rubber.
Loose-fitting or partially dislodged plug.
Water entering the door cavity.
Increased dirt or debris inside the door.
Corrosion developing around exposed access holes.
Wind noise caused by unsealed openings.
Moisture-related damage within the door.
Visible deterioration due to age or UV exposure.
Untidy appearance of the door assembly.

Why Replacement Matters:

Door sealing plugs are continually exposed to water, road salt, dirt, vibration and changing temperatures. Over time, the rubber can harden, shrink or crack, reducing its ability to provide an effective seal. Missing or damaged plugs leave factory access holes exposed, allowing contaminants and moisture to enter the door cavity.
Water ingress can accelerate internal corrosion, damage door components and contribute to rattles, unwanted noise and premature deterioration of electrical and mechanical parts inside the door. Replacing damaged or missing plugs is a simple yet effective way to protect the vehicle's body structure and preserve its long-term condition.
Replacing the original component with the OE Match Door Round Rubber Plug restores the integrity of the door sealing system. Manufactured to OE standards using premium automotive-grade EPDM rubber, it provides factory-style fitment, excellent weather resistance and long-lasting durability, helping protect your Porsche against corrosion while maintaining its original finish and build quality.

Diagram Ref No 39

Mounted at the rear lid or body contact point, the rubber stop helps prevent direct metal-to-metal contact while supporting correct lid positioning. It also helps absorb vibration and minor movement when driving, reducing rattles and protecting surrounding bodywork and latch components from unnecessary impact.

As rubber components age, they can harden, crack, flatten or disappear altogether. Replacing a deteriorated rear lid stop is a simple but important way to restore correct closure, reduce unwanted noise and maintain proper panel positioning.

What This Product Does:
The rear lid rubber stop acts as a small cushioning and support point between the lid and surrounding body structure.

When the lid is closed, the stop compresses slightly to support the panel and absorb movement. This helps keep the lid stable while preventing hard contact between painted or metal components.

Its main functions include:

Cushioning the rear lid when it closes
Preventing direct metal-to-metal contact
Helping support correct rear lid positioning
Reducing movement and vibration while driving
Helping prevent rattles and knocking noises
Protecting surrounding paintwork and body panels
Reducing unnecessary load and movement at the latch
Helping maintain consistent panel gaps
Providing a more solid and refined closing action

Although it is a small component, the rubber stop contributes to both correct panel fit and everyday refinement.

Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
Rubber stops deteriorate naturally through age, heat, compression and exposure to moisture and environmental contaminants.

Common symptoms of a worn or failed rear lid rubber stop include:

Rubber becoming hard or brittle
Cracks or splits in the stop
Stop becoming flattened or permanently compressed
Pieces of rubber breaking away
Stop missing completely
Rear lid rattling over uneven roads
Knocking or tapping noises from the rear lid
Excessive movement when the lid is closed
Lid sitting slightly too low or unevenly
Poor or inconsistent panel gaps
Rear lid requiring adjustment to close correctly
Paint marks or contact points where the lid touches surrounding bodywork
Increased strain or movement at the latch
A harsher closing action than normal

Similar symptoms can also result from incorrect latch adjustment, worn hinges or other missing buffers, so the complete rear lid mounting and closure system should be inspected where necessary.

Why Replacement Matters:

A rear lid should remain securely supported when closed. If the rubber stop becomes compressed, hardened or missing, the panel can move more than intended.
This movement can create rattles and knocking noises and may allow the lid to contact surrounding bodywork. Over time, repeated contact can damage paintwork and create unnecessary wear around the lid, latch and mounting points.
A deteriorated stop can also affect how the rear lid sits when closed, potentially resulting in uneven panel gaps or poor alignment.
Replacing worn rubber stops helps restore the correct cushioning effect and supports the lid in its intended position. This can improve closure quality, reduce unwanted vibration and protect valuable surrounding bodywork.
For older Porsche models, replacing aged rubber buffers is also worthwhile during restoration, as decades-old rubber may appear intact while having become significantly hardened or compressed.

Intake manifold rubber sleeve. Porsche 911 / 914

99970307650/1

Product Information

Intake manifold rubber sleeve
This OE Match intake manifold rubber sleeve is a replacement rubber connecting sleeve for Porsche 911 and 914 models. It is designed to match the original-style fitment and function, helping provide a secure air intake connection within the engine induction system.

Fits:
Porsche 911 1965 - 1973
Porsche 914/6 1970 - 1972

Diagram ref no 6/1

The intake manifold rubber sleeve helps connect and seal sections of the intake manifold or induction system. A good sleeve helps maintain correct airflow, prevents unwanted air leaks, and supports smooth engine running, correct mixture control, and reliable intake system performance.

Functions
• Replaces the intake manifold rubber sleeve
• Helps seal the intake manifold connection
• Supports correct airflow through the induction system
• Helps prevent vacuum leaks and unmetered air entry
• Supports smooth idle and consistent engine performance
• Replaces cracked, hardened, split, loose, or perished original sleeves
• OE Match replacement for classic Porsche intake system repair.

Why Replace This Part?
Rubber intake sleeves are exposed to heat, fuel vapour, oil mist, vibration, and age-related deterioration. Over time, the rubber can harden, crack, split, shrink, or lose its sealing ability. A failing sleeve may cause vacuum leaks, rough idle, poor running, hesitation, difficult starting, or incorrect fuel mixture. Replacing the sleeve helps restore a secure intake seal and dependable engine performance.

When to Replace This Part
• The rubber sleeve is cracked, split, hard, loose, or perished
• Vacuum leaks are suspected around the intake manifold
• The engine has rough idle, hesitation, or poor running
• Intake manifold parts have been removed or serviced
• Fuel injection or carburettor components are being inspected
• The intake system is being rebuilt or restored
• Preventative replacement is being carried out during engine service.

Where it fits on the car
This sleeve fits within the engine intake manifold / induction system on Porsche 911 and 914 models. It is used at the intake connection point where a rubber sleeve seal is specified.
