Functions
• Replaces the front brake pad wear sensor
• Monitors front brake pad wear condition
• Helps trigger the brake pad warning system
• Supports safe and timely brake pad replacement
• Used during front brake pad or front brake system service
• Replaces worn, damaged, broken, brittle, or previously triggered sensors
• OE Match replacement for Porsche 9YA Cayenne brake maintenance.
Why Replace This Part?
Brake pad wear sensors are designed to wear with the brake pads and may be damaged or triggered once the pads reach their wear limit. Sensors can also become brittle, corroded, broken, or damaged during brake servicing. Replacing the front sensor during brake pad replacement helps restore the warning system and prevents false or missing brake wear alerts.
When to Replace This Part
• Front brake pads are being replaced
• The brake pad wear warning light is illuminated
• The sensor has been triggered by worn front brake pads
• The sensor wire is damaged, broken, brittle, or corroded
• Front brake warning faults are being diagnosed
• The sensor was damaged during brake service
• The vehicle is undergoing Porsche Cayenne brake system maintenance.
Where it fits on the car
This sensor fits within the front brake pad wear monitoring system on Porsche 9YA Cayenne models. Exact position can vary depending on model year, front brake caliper type, and brake pad specification.
