Electric sunroof clutch
This Sunroof Clutch is an OE-style drive coupling component designed for the electric sunroof mechanism on Porsche 911, 964, and 993 models. It connects the sunroof motor to the transmission drive assembly, allowing smooth and controlled operation of the sliding roof system. Installed between the electric sunroof motor and the sunroof gearbox/transmission mechanism, the clutch acts as a flexible coupling that absorbs vibration and compensates for minor driveline movement within the roof mechanism. The original sunroof clutch is subjected to constant torsional load, vibration, and heat within the roof mechanism. Replacing a worn clutch restores reliable roof movement and helps prevent unnecessary stress on the sunroof motor and gearbox assembly.
