This kit is a modern update to the 964 (911) ignition system. This system takes the management of the car into the digital age and allows greater control over ignition and fueling.
The kit will replace your restrictive old fashioned air flow meter (barn door) with a modern MAP sensor managed by intake pressures.
The kit is delivered ready to use with a PPT ignition map. We have maps for 3.6 and 3.8 conversions, and either can be pre-installed for you.
Our latest kit now comes with an upgraded ECU and can run a wide band sensor (oxygen sensor).
Our kits include this capability but the sensor needs to be ordered separately.
While developing the upgraded ECU we also changed our intake pipe; this now works with the factory airbox, gives a stock appearance in the engine bay and houses the map sensor and air temp sensor out of sight.
Kit includes:
• Delta 700 ECU
• Direct plug in wiring loom
• Map Sensor and air temp sensor
• Air intake pipe
• 6 Bosch injectors
• Vacuum pipe and T connector
• Support and service by PIE Performance
• Can Bus data connection tool
All our kits are 100% reversible, with no need to drill or alter components, we utilise what already exists

Whether building a responsive road engine, fast-road Porsche
or high-performance competition engine, the choice of three throttle body sizes
allows the induction system to be matched more closely to your engine
specification.
Inlet Manifolds, Fuel Injectors and Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) are Not Included
Please note that inlet manifolds, fuel injectors and the TPS shown in product imagery are for reference and are not included with the kit.
What Does the PMO EFI Throttle Body Kit Do?
PMO individual throttle bodies replace carburettors or the existing induction system as part of an electronic fuel injection conversion.
Each cylinder receives its own throttle bore, providing direct airflow into the engine. Fuel delivery is then electronically controlled through individual injectors and a compatible aftermarket ECU.
When correctly installed and tuned, benefits can include:
- Sharper throttle response
- Precise electronic fuel control
- Improved engine tuneability
- Improved cold starting and driveability
- Better control of air/fuel ratios
- Potential improvements in performance and fuel efficiency
- Individual throttle response for each cylinder
- Classic carburettor-style appearance with modern EFI control
40mm, 46mm or 50mm – Which Size?
PMO EFI throttle bodies are available in three bore sizes to
suit different engine specifications.
- 40mm – Well suited to smaller-capacity and road-focused engines where air velocity, low-to-mid-range response and driveability are important.
- 46mm – A good choice for larger-capacity, modified and fast-road engines requiring increased airflow while retaining strong throttle response.
- 50mm – Designed for highly modified, large-capacity and competition engines where maximum airflow and high-RPM performance are priorities.
Correct sizing depends on engine capacity, cylinder heads, camshafts, compression ratio, intended RPM range and power requirements. Consult your engine builder when selecting the appropriate size.
Precision PMO Construction
PMO EFI throttle bodies are precision CNC machined and hand assembled in Anaheim, California using high-quality aerospace-grade materials.
Sealed ball bearings provide durability, while the one-piece throttle shaft maintains accurate alignment and helps provide smooth, consistent throttle operation.
Tapered 52mm intake throats improve airflow into the throttle bodies, while billet fuel rails accommodate Bosch-style fuel injectors.
EFI Management Compatibility
PMO EFI throttle bodies can be used with programmable engine management systems including Haltech, MegaSquirt, MoTeC and other suitable aftermarket EFI controllers.
The ECU must be correctly configured and professionally tuned for the individual engine specification.
Injector size, fuel pressure, sensors and ECU configuration should be discussed with your engine builder or EFI system supplier before installation.
Converting from Carburettors to EFI
Converting a carburetted Porsche engine to EFI requires a suitable high-pressure fuel system in addition to the throttle bodies.
A fuel pump capable of approximately 60 psi is required. The Walbro GSL393 external inline fuel pump, rated at approximately 160 LPH, is one suitable option, although another correctly specified 60 psi universal EFI fuel pump may also be used.
Fuel lines, filtration, pressure regulation and other associated components must also be suitable for EFI operating pressures.
Associated components to added include:
- Fuel rail retaining/injector clip – 534-102
- TPS sensor – 17123852
- Bosch-style fuel injectors
- Suitable high-pressure EFI fuel pump
- Compatible programmable ECU
Injector specification should be selected according to engine capacity, expected power output, fuel type and EFI system requirements.
PMO EFI Throttle Body Kits for Air-Cooled Porsche
PMO individual throttle bodies provide an ideal solution for owners wanting the appearance and immediate response associated with classic carburettor induction while gaining the control and tuning potential of electronic fuel injection.
Available in 40mm, 46mm and 50mm sizes, PMO EFI throttle bodies can be matched to a wide variety of standard, modified and competition air-cooled Porsche flat-six engines.
The natural aluminium finish provides a clean, period-inspired appearance that complements classic Porsche engine bays while concealing modern EFI technology within a traditional individual-throttle-body layout.

When converting a Porsche engine to Individual Barrel Throttle Bodies, the original intake and airflow characteristics change significantly. Unlike conventional plenum intake systems, individual throttle bodies generate multiple pulsing vacuum signals which must be stabilised and measured correctly. The Rennen MAP Sensor, combined with the Rennen Vacuum Manifold, delivers the accurate load signal required for modern ECU calibration and reliable engine operation.
Whether you are building a fast road Porsche, a track-focused machine or a competition engine, the MAP sensor is one of the most important components in ensuring your ITB conversion performs exactly as intended.
What Does a MAP Sensor Do?
MAP stands for Manifold Absolute Pressure.
The sensor continuously measures the vacuum and pressure levels within the intake system and sends this information to the ECU. The ECU then uses this data to calculate engine load and make real-time adjustments to fuel delivery and ignition timing.
A properly functioning MAP sensor helps provide:
- Accurate engine load measurement
- Precise fuel mapping
- Optimised ignition timing
- Stable idle quality
