Brake caliper mounting bolts hold the caliper firmly in position so the brake pads can clamp the disc correctly. Secure caliper mounting is essential for safe braking performance, pedal feel, pad contact, and reliable brake operation.

Functions
•  Replaces brake caliper mounting bolts
•  Secures the brake caliper assembly
•  Helps maintain correct caliper alignment
•  Supports safe brake pad and disc contact
•  Used during brake caliper, brake pad, or brake disc service
•  Replaces corroded, rounded, stretched, damaged, or missing original bolts
•  OE Match replacement fasteners for Porsche brake system repair.

Why Replace This Part?
Brake caliper mounting bolts are exposed to high braking loads, heat, road dirt, corrosion, and repeated service work. Worn, damaged, corroded, or stretched bolts may not provide correct clamping force and can compromise caliper security. Replacement is recommended when the bolts are removed during brake service or when their condition is uncertain.

When to Replace This Part
•   Brake calipers are being removed or replaced
•   Brake pads or brake discs are being serviced
•   The original bolts are corroded, rounded, stretched, damaged, or missing
•   Caliper mounting threads or fixing condition are being checked
•   Brake vibration, movement, or noise is being investigated
•   Preventative replacement is required during brake overhaul
•   The vehicle is undergoing Porsche brake system restoration.

Where it fits on the car
These bolts fit at the brake caliper mounting points on Porsche 993, 996, 997.1, Boxster, and Cayman models. Exact position can vary depending on model, axle, caliper type, and brake package.

Girodisc caliper studs are a direct replacement for the OEM caliper bolts.

A must-have item for those who track or race their cars often. The factory bolts will quickly strip out the threads in the expensive wheel uprights, from removing the calipers for maintenance. These Cup-style caliper studs will eliminate this problem and quickly pay for themselves. They also allow for quicker and easier caliper installation by guiding the calipers into position. Manufactured from aerospace quality 17-4 PH stainless steel for high strength and corrosion resistance. One kit includes 4 studs, nuts, and washers, complete for one axle. Two kits are required for the front and rear.
These Brake caliper stud kits now include the highest quality available, ARP 12-point nuts. This is a no-compromise solution. Made from high-strength stainless steel, these nuts will not corrode, have a 180,000 PSI tensile strength, and are compact in size for a better fit in the brake caliper bore.

Please Note
If you are not familiar with, or confident that you understand how to replace the caliper bolts with studs please have a certified mechanic perform the installation.

About Caliper Bolts / Disc Screws

Porsche Caliper Bolts & Disc Screws | Design911 Precision Fasteners for Secure, Reliable Braking Performance

Caliper bolts and disc screws are small but vital components of your Porsche’s braking system, ensuring your brake calipers and discs are mounted securely for safe, consistent performance. These fasteners maintain the correct torque and alignment under extreme temperatures and vibration. Over time, they can corrode, stretch, or lose tension — compromising braking safety and component integrity. Replacing them during brake servicing or restoration is essential for long-term reliability and precise fitment.

At Design911, we supply a wide range of caliper bolts and brake disc screws, crafted from high-tensile steel and corrosion-resistant alloys. Each component is engineered for exact fitment, durability, and consistent torque application. Ideal for servicing, upgrades, or full restorations, our fasteners ensure your Porsche’s braking system remains safe, precise, and true to its performance heritage.

What Do Caliper Bolts & Disc Screws Do?

Caliper bolts and disc screws secure the main braking components to the hub and suspension system, ensuring stability and proper braking alignment.

Core Functions:
• Fasten brake calipers to their mounting brackets.
• Secure brake discs (rotors) to wheel hubs.
• Maintain proper alignment under braking load.
• Prevent component movement, vibration, or uneven wear.
• Support safety and consistency under high heat and pressure.

These precision-engineered fasteners are key to the structural integrity of your Porsche’s braking system, maintaining consistent performance and driver confidence.

Why Do Caliper Bolts & Disc Screws Fail or Degrade?

Given their exposure to heat, moisture, and torque stress, caliper bolts and disc screws naturally experience wear and fatigue over time.

Common Causes of Failure Include:
• Corrosion or rust from moisture and road salt exposure.
• Thread wear or stretching from repeated tightening.
• Heat fatigue caused by intense braking cycles.
• Seized bolts from oxidation or incorrect torque application.
• Sheared or stripped heads during maintenance.

When fasteners degrade, they can loosen or fail — leading to brake vibration, noise, or unsafe component movement. Replacing them ensures reliability and safety under all driving conditions.

Why Replace or Upgrade Your Porsche Caliper Bolts & Disc Screws?

Replacing worn or corroded fasteners restores secure mounting and structural stability across your braking system. Design911’s precision-grade replacements are designed to meet Porsche specifications for torque and material strength, ensuring long-lasting performance.

Key Benefits:
• Restores secure and stable brake mounting.
• Prevents vibration, movement, or component wear.
• Resistant to corrosion, heat, and mechanical stress.
• Manufactured from high-tensile, treated steel or alloy.
• Direct-fit design for all Porsche applications.
• Ideal for servicing, upgrades, or restoration projects.
