Dansk parts for Porsche models from Design911
A Quick Look at Dansk
Who is behind Dansk ? Originally, Johannes Pedersen was a bus driver, but in 1965 he started using all his spare time producing rubber mounts for cars, rubber hammers and ashtrays. This gave him the financial possibility to invest in tools and machines for the production of spare parts for his biggest interest: cars. Johannes Pedersen died in 1992, 63 years old. Since then JP Group a/s was taken over by his son, Martin Pedersen, who has grown the company into a well-established and strongly consolidated business with activities worldwide and premises of a total size of 42,000 m2.Today, Martin Pedersen has been active within JP Group for more than 40 years and consolidated the ownership structure with CFO, Henrik Andersen & CEO, Torben Pagh, who has run the company since early 2021.
Choosing the Right Fit for Your Porsche
Where Dansk is listed for Porsche, use the supplied model coverage and OE references to confirm suitability. Check details that commonly affect fitment such as model year, side/position, and connector type where relevant.
- Typical reasons people replace these parts include corrosion, exhaust leaks, tired silencers and heat exchangers, and restoring a clean, leak-free system with an appropriate sound level for road use.
- Common symptoms of worn or failed components include rattles, blowing joints, rust holes, cracked brackets, and other heat-related fatigue or fitment issues where old mounts and hangers are still in place.
- Practical tip: consider replacing clamps, mounts and other exhaust hardware at the same time, and inspect surrounding heat shields and brackets during installation.
- Practical tip: sound levels can vary between standard and sport variants, so always check product descriptions and specifications against your preferences.
Browse by Category
If you already know the area you are working on, start with the category and then filter by Porsche model. Where real-world symptoms and typical reasons to replace are provided, use them to keep the wording grounded.
Chassis / Bodywork — Chassis and bodywork parts are replaced to repair accident damage, correct corrosion, or modify the shell for performance and restoration work while keeping the structure safe and straight. Common problems include rust in sills, jacking points and arches, cracked or bent chassis rails after impacts, and poorly repaired previous accident damage causing misaligned panels.
Restoration Chassis / Repair Panels — Restoration and repair panels are used to cut out rusted or damaged sections and weld in fresh metal, preserving original Porsches rather than replacing complete shells. Original panels often suffer from deep corrosion, previous patch repairs, distortion from jacking and accident damage, leading to MOT failures or poor panel gaps.
Front Section — Front section panels are fitted to repair crash damage, rust or previous poor repair work in the front structure and panel areas of a Porsche. Typical issues include bent crash structures, creased inner wings, rust around bumper mounts and battery trays, and misaligned front panels after accidents.
Middle Section — Middle-section repair panels address corrosion or damage in floorpans, sills and central chassis areas, often on older or high-mileage Porsches. Problems include rust in floorpans, jacking points and inner sills, as well as previous patch repairs that are not to factory standard or have failed.
Wings Front & Parts — Front wings and associated parts are replaced after corrosion, accident damage or when upgrading to different arches or vents on a Porsche. Common issues are rust around arches and mounting points, dents, distorted panels and poor gaps from previous repairs.

Porsche made a few different versions of the pipe over the years which all had a slightly different shape. (although Porsche used one number)
If this pipe is out you would need to loosen all the bolts on the exhaust system (Including the turbo) and mount the pipe into place afterwards.

Polished Stainless Steel Exhaust Pre-Silencer with TÜV / EEC approval.
Enhance the sound, appearance and longevity of your classic air-cooled Porsche with the Dansk Polished Stainless Steel Exhaust Pre-Silencer. Manufactured from high-quality polished stainless steel, this premium exhaust component provides excellent corrosion resistance, improved durability and a refined sports exhaust note while maintaining everyday drivability.

Fits:
Designed as a direct replacement for the factory pre-silencer, this Dansk unit is TÜV/EEC approved, making it suitable for owners seeking a quality exhaust upgrade that meets recognised European approval standards.
For added convenience, the pre-silencer is supplied with the lambda probe blanking screw already fitted, making installation quicker and easier where the oxygen sensor port is not required.
Whether you're restoring a classic 911, replacing a corroded exhaust component or upgrading your exhaust system, Dansk continues to be one of the most respected names in Porsche exhaust manufacturing.
What Does an Exhaust Pre-Silencer Do?
The pre-silencer forms part of the exhaust system between the heat exchangers and rear silencer.
Its primary functions include:
- Reducing unwanted exhaust resonance.
- Improving exhaust gas flow.
- Producing a deeper, sportier exhaust note.
- Helping maintain engine performance.
- Supporting efficient exhaust scavenging.
- Providing a balance between performance and everyday refinement.
A quality pre-silencer can improve both driving enjoyment and the overall character of the classic air-cooled flat-six engine.
Why Upgrade to a Stainless Steel Pre-Silencer?
Unlike original mild steel exhaust components, polished stainless steel offers significant long-term advantages.
Benefits include:
- High-quality polished stainless steel construction.
- Outstanding corrosion resistance. Longer service life.
- Reduced maintenance. Improved exhaust appearance.
- Deeper, more sporting exhaust sound.
- Excellent fit and durability.
- Suitable for both standard and upgraded exhaust systems.
Stainless steel construction helps ensure the exhaust system continues to perform and look its best for years to come.
Why Replace Your Exhaust Pre-Silencer?
The original pre-silencer is exposed to extreme temperatures, moisture and road contaminants throughout its life.
Replacement is recommended when:
- The original unit has corroded.
- Exhaust leaks have developed.
- Internal baffles have deteriorated.
- You want to improve exhaust sound.
- Restoring a classic Porsche.
- Replacing other exhaust components.
- Upgrading to a stainless steel exhaust system.
Replacing ageing exhaust components helps maintain engine efficiency while restoring the appearance and sound of your Porsche.
Dansk Features:
- Genuine Dansk performance exhaust component.
- Manufactured from polished stainless steel.
- Direct replacement for the original pre-silencer.
- TÜV/EEC approved.
- Corrosion-resistant construction.
- Improved exhaust tone with refined sound characteristics.
- Excellent durability and long service life.
- Lambda probe blanking screw pre-installed for easier installation.
- Precision manufactured for accurate fitment.
- Ideal for restoration, servicing and performance upgrades.
