OE Match
OE Match for Porsche
OE Match is a specialist replacement-parts brand developed around Porsche applications, covering routine maintenance, mechanical repairs, restoration and difficult-to-source components for classic and modern models. Design911 selects brands for quality and Porsche fitment, with knowledgeable specialists available to help owners and workshops choose suitable parts.
The OE Match story
OE Match is focused on preserving Porsche vehicles by returning hard-to-find and no-longer-available components to the market. Its purpose is to keep Porsche vehicles maintained, repaired, restored and usable for the future, particularly where original components have become expensive, difficult to source or discontinued.
Supplied catalogue information records over 8000 individual part numbers, more than 11,800 OE cross-references and over 100 new products in engineering, while the wider product programme contains more than 9,000 variants; these figures describe different measures of the range. Continuing development involves researching the parts owners and workshops genuinely need, working with specialist manufacturers, reviewing engineering specifications, assessing samples, testing and approving components before release. From small seals, clips and brackets to major mechanical components, the aim is to prevent a difficult-to-source item from holding up an entire repair or restoration: preserving Porsche, one part at a time.
Why choose OE Match for your Porsche
OE Match is a quality aftermarket and OE-equivalent replacement option developed specifically around Porsche applications rather than adapted from a general aftermarket range. Original references, vehicle fitment information, dimensions, materials and component specifications are used to identify suitable replacements for routine service, age-related wear, larger mechanical repairs and restoration work.
Its research, development and quality-control processes assess material and manufacturing quality, dimensions and specification, OE-reference compatibility, vehicle application, fit and function, supplier samples, product consistency, packaging and presentation. Where appropriate, physical inspection and fitment evaluation form part of final approval, and products must meet the programme's requirements before entering the catalogue.
Coverage includes the Porsche 356, 911, 912, 914, 924, 944 and 928, alongside the 964, 993, Boxster 986, 996, Cayenne, Cayman and 997. This gives owners, enthusiasts, independent specialists and professional workshops a Porsche-focused replacement option alongside Genuine Porsche parts. OE Match is intended to provide correctly specified, OE-equivalent replacements with sensible running costs rather than simply serving as a lower-cost alternative. Design911 selects the brands it carries for quality and fitment and can advise customers on suitable options for maintenance, restoration or upgrades.

Categories we stock from this brand
Design911 stocks OE Match across an extensive range of Porsche mechanical, electrical, body, interior and maintenance categories. Original Porsche references help identify replacements where part numbers have been superseded or several versions exist. Always check the model, production year, engine, transmission, side or position, connector type where relevant and individual product notes. Incorrect application, mismatched versions, reused seals or hardware and worn supporting components can cause noise, premature wear, leaks, fitment problems or repeat failures. Safety-critical specifications and installation should be checked by a competent technician.

This Gearshift Rod End Joint is an OE Match transmission linkage component used in the manual gearshift system on selected Porsche 928, 964, and 993 models. It connects part of the shift linkage and helps transfer gear lever movement accurately through to the gearbox.
Fits:
Porsche 928 1978 - 1995
Porsche 964 1989 - 1994
Porsche 993 1994 - 1998
Diagram ref no 16
The gearshift rod end joint links sections of the shift control assembly together, allowing the driver’s movement at the gear lever to be transmitted cleanly and consistently to the gearbox selector mechanism. When in good condition, it helps maintain crisp, positive shifting and reduces excess movement or vagueness in the gear lever. Over time, wear in this joint can introduce play into the linkage, which can make gear changes feel loose, less precise, or harder to engage.
Function
• Provides a pivot point within the gearshift linkage system
• Transfers gear lever movement directly to the gearbox selector
• Allows smooth articulation of linkage components through various angles
• Maintains accurate and controlled gear engagement
• Reduces excess play for a tighter, more precise shifting feel
• Supports overall reliability of the manual transmission linkage system
A worn gearshift rod end joint can affect the feel and accuracy of the entire shift linkage. Even a small amount of wear can lead to sloppier gear selection, increased play at the gear lever, and reduced confidence during shifting. Replacing a tired or damaged joint helps restore more precise linkage movement and can improve the overall quality of the driving experience, especially on older Porsche manual transmission cars where linkage wear builds up over time.
When to replace
• Noticeable play or looseness in the gear lever
• Vague or imprecise gear selection
• Difficulty engaging certain gears
• Excessive movement in the shift linkage during inspection
• Linkage wear found during gearbox or shifter service
• Cracked, worn, or deteriorated joint component
• Restoring shift quality on an older Porsche

Syncro shifting sleeve 3rd/4th gear
OE Match synchro shifting sleeve for third and fourth gear on Porsche 911 models from 1974–1986 with the 915 gearbox. A replacement component for repairs involving wear within the gear engagement assembly.
Fits
- Porsche 911 1974 - 1986 (915 Gearbox)
Diagram Ref no 13.
What This Product Does
The shifting sleeve forms part of the gearbox synchroniser assembly, working with the adjoining synchroniser and engagement components during gear selection. This product is the sleeve itself, rather than a synchroniser ring, brake band or complete gearbox repair kit.
Functions
- Participates in third- and fourth-gear engagement.
- Works with the associated synchroniser and selector components.
- Replaces a worn sleeve during transmission repair or rebuilding.
Symptoms of Fault
- Crunching or grinding during selection of third or fourth gear.
- Resistance or hesitation when engaging the affected gear.
- Uncertain engagement or a tendency to disengage.
These symptoms can also originate from the clutch, linkage or other internal gearbox components, so diagnosis should precede replacement.
Why Replacement Matters
Renewing a sleeve with confirmed wear addresses the damaged engagement component during a gearbox repair. Inspect the adjacent synchroniser rings, engagement teeth, selector components and supporting hardware before reassembly to identify related wear.
FAQs
Will fresh gearbox oil repair a worn sleeve?
No. Correct lubricant is important, but it cannot restore damaged engagement surfaces.
Should other components be checked?
Yes. Inspect the surrounding synchroniser assembly, selector mechanism and clutch operation rather than assuming the sleeve is the only cause.
Check fitment for your specific vehicle (model, year, engine) before ordering. Confirm the gearbox type and original reference as part of that check.

The kit provides all necessary internal components to refurbish the front king pin assembly - including bushes, seals, and related hardware - ensuring the steering knuckle remains properly supported and aligned. As part of the suspension’s pivoting mechanism, the king pin allows the wheel assembly to articulate smoothly while maintaining caster and camber alignment under load.
Function:
• Restores front suspension pivot integrity: Repairs worn king pin interfaces to eliminate excessive play
• Improves steering precision: Tightens up slack in the front axle for more responsive steering
• Enhances wheel alignment stability: Helps maintain proper geometry under load and over bumps
• Reduces noise and vibration: Worn king pin components can produce clunking and uneven steering feedback if not serviced.
Proper function of the king pin assembly is key to predictable handling and long tyre life on vintage Porsche front suspension systems.

Diagram Ref no 9.
This cap seals the top of the washer fluid reservoir to:
• Prevent washer fluid from splashing or spilling out of the tank.
• Keep dirt, dust and moisture from entering the washer system.
• Help maintain correct fluid level and cleanliness for reliable jet performance.
Over time, the original washer bottle cap can become brittle, cracked, loose or go missing altogether. When that happens:
• Washer fluid can splash or slosh out under braking or cornering.
• Dirt and debris can fall into the tank, potentially clogging jets or damaging the pump.
• You may notice more frequent low fluid levels or contamination in the reservoir.
Replacing it with a correct cap restores a secure closure, protects the washer system, and keeps the front luggage area looking complete and factory-correct.
You should replace the cap if the original is missing, cracked, or no longer clips on securely. A new cap is also recommended if dirt or debris has entered the washer tank due to poor sealing. It’s an ideal replacement during restoration or detailing work as well, especially when aiming to keep the luggage compartment on a classic 911, 964 or 993 looking fully OEM and complete.
