Designed for demanding road and performance use, the 9M floating disc combines a high-carbon cast iron slotted rotor with a lightweight CNC-machined aluminium bell. The two-piece floating construction allows the rotor to expand more freely as temperatures increase, helping reduce heat-related stress and the risk of distortion.

Slotted Rotor Surface

CNC-Machined Aluminium Bells

The centre bells are CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminium before being hard anodised for additional surface protection and durability.

Using aluminium for the centre bell also helps reduce unnecessary rotating and unsprung mass compared with an equivalent all-iron construction.

PFC has released new V3 disc and hat technology. The advanced design features a patented attachment design that uses a retention ring that holds the hat and disc together.

The ring means no need for torque wrenches, and no hassle. The ability to change a disc quickly and efficiently saves time and effort. As well as being convenient, the new V3 technology is much lighter than previous designs, making it easier to put on and pull off, and making the vehicle lighter.

This V3 disc retention method is based on the use of a two-turn retaining ring, which is held in a groove in the hat that overlaps the disc flanges – effectively locking the disc to the hat.

● Exceptional manufacturing standards - Run out less than 0.0254mm, Thickness variation less than 0.00762mm. Surface finishes less than .7 microns.When used in conjunction with Z rated fast road/track day pads, component life and on track performance markedly improved over competitors pads.
