Fabspeed Porsche Deluxe Quad Style Tips.
The Fabspeed Deluxe Quad Style Exhaust Tips are a premium exterior and exhaust styling upgrade designed for the Porsche 997.2 Turbo and Turbo S from 2010–2012.

Fits:
  • Porsche 997 MKII Turbo / Turbo S 2010-12

Designed to replace the original factory exhaust outlets, these quad-style tips give the rear of the Porsche a more aggressive, performance-focused appearance while providing a high-quality finishing touch to the exhaust system.

Manufactured from T304L stainless steel, the tips are available in Polished or Satin Black finishes, allowing owners to choose between a classic bright stainless appearance or a darker, more purposeful motorsport-inspired look.

What This Product Does:

Exhaust tips form the visible final outlets of the exhaust system.

Although they do not perform the same gas-treatment or silencing functions as catalytic converters and mufflers, they provide the finishing point through which exhaust gases exit at the rear of the vehicle.

The Fabspeed Deluxe Quad Style Tips are primarily designed to:

  • Replace the factory exhaust outlets
  • Provide a sportier quad-tip appearance
  • Improve the visual finish of the rear bumper area
  • Give the Porsche a more aggressive performance look
  • Provide durable stainless-steel exhaust outlets
  • Replace scratched, corroded or damaged original tips
  • Complement Fabspeed and other compatible performance exhaust upgrades

Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
Exhaust tips are relatively simple components, but years of heat exposure and road use can eventually affect their condition.

Common signs of deterioration include:

  • Surface corrosion
  • Heavy discoloration
  • Persistent staining
  • Scratches
  • Dents
  • Cracks
  • Bent outlets
  • Damaged mounting points
  • Loose exhaust tips
  • Excessive movement
  • Poor alignment
  • Peeling or damaged finish
  • Heavy carbon and soot deposits
  • Tips sitting unevenly within the bumper openings

Cosmetic deterioration does not necessarily affect exhaust-system performance, but physical damage or loose mounting should be corrected.

Why Replacement Matters:
Unlike a catalytic converter, muffler or exhaust pipe, a worn exhaust tip will not normally cause a major loss of engine performance.

Replacement matters primarily for appearance, fitment and physical condition.

Replacing worn or damaged tips can:

  • Restore the rear appearance of the vehicle
  • Remove heavily scratched or corroded outlets
  • Correct bent or damaged tips
  • Restore proper exhaust outlet alignment
  • Eliminate rattling from damaged or loose tips
  • Provide a more aggressive quad-tip appearance
  • Complement other exhaust upgrades
  • Refresh the appearance of an ageing Porsche

For a well-maintained performance car, details such as exhaust outlets can make a substantial difference to the overall presentation of the vehicle.

Fabspeed Race Headers.
The Fabspeed Porsche 997.2 Carrera Race Headers are high-performance, catless exhaust headers developed for Porsche 997.2 Carrera models from 2009–2012. Designed primarily for track-oriented vehicles, they replace the restrictive factory header and catalytic-converter assemblies with a freer-flowing stainless-steel exhaust system.

Fits:
  • Porsche 997 MKII Carrera C2 3.6L 2009-12
  • Porsche 997 MKII Carrera C4 3.6L 2009-12
  • Porsche 997 MKII Carrera C2S 3.8L 2009-12
  • Porsche 997 MKII Carrera C4S 3.8L 2009-12

By removing the factory catalytic converters and improving exhaust-gas flow from the cylinder heads, the Race Headers are designed to reduce exhaust restriction, improve scavenging and allow the naturally aspirated flat-six engine to breathe more efficiently.

What This Product Does:

Exhaust headers collect the gases leaving each engine cylinder and direct them into the remainder of the exhaust system.

The design and flow characteristics of the headers can have a significant effect on how efficiently a naturally aspirated engine expels exhaust gases.

The Fabspeed Race Headers replace the factory header and catalytic-converter assemblies with a performance-oriented catless design intended to reduce restriction.

Their purpose is to provide:

  • Increased exhaust flow
  • Improved exhaust scavenging
  • Reduced backpressure
  • Increased horsepower and torque
  • Improved engine response
  • Stronger performance through the rev range
  • Reduced exhaust-system weight
  • Increased exhaust volume
  • A more aggressive flat-six exhaust note

When Might Race Headers Be Worth Considering:
Unlike standard replacement headers, these components are primarily a performance modification.

They may be considered when:

  • Building a track-focused Porsche 997.2 Carrera
  • Maximum exhaust flow is desired
  • Increased horsepower and torque are required
  • A louder, more aggressive exhaust note is wanted
  • Reducing exhaust-system weight is important
  • Existing factory headers are damaged or deteriorated
  • A complete performance exhaust system is being installed

For a road car, legal and emissions requirements must be considered before choosing a catless exhaust configuration.

Why Replacement Or Upgrading Matters:
A damaged or leaking exhaust header can allow extremely hot exhaust gases to escape before they reach the remainder of the exhaust system.

This can cause:

  • Excessive exhaust noise
  • Soot deposits
  • Exhaust fumes
  • Reduced exhaust-system efficiency
  • Heat damage to nearby components
  • Poor sealing between exhaust components

Replacing damaged components restores the integrity of the exhaust system.

When upgrading to Fabspeed Race Headers on a suitable track vehicle, the replacement also provides the opportunity to reduce exhaust restriction, improve flow and increase performance.

As many GT3 owners know, the OEM mufflers are prone to cracking, breaking and blowing out, particularly the titanium mufflers on GT3RS cars. Fabspeed Motorsport Engineers design a GT3 primary muffler replacement that not only fixed that issue but also greatly improved on the OEM design in multiple measurable ways. Using our 30+ years of air and water-cooled experience, we took the valve open tubing to 2.75in / 70mm which is the optimal diameter for GT3 engines to have low restriction but maintain high velocity and high RPM GT3 pitch for the signature GT3 CUP car sound. Then, we implemented our signature investment cast 70mm 2.75" X-Pipe for optimal exhaust scavenging and maximum volumetric efficiency. The X merges the two cylinder banks without creating any restriction in exhaust flow. To maintain the factory muffler’s exhaust note and lack of drone, we mimicked Porsche’s 7 chamber design. This makes for a completely drone free muffler, even when running cat-less race headers! Using GT3 headers with cats or Fabspeed headers with HJS German EPA approved catalytic converters along with Fabspeed GT3 Side Muffler Muffler Bypass Pipes for the ultimate emissions compliant lightweight GT3 exhaust. Fabspeed's GT3 center muffler is guaranteed to NEVER BREAK or fail- and OUTPERFORM any other aftermarket GT3 center muffler. 100% made in house at Fabspeed.

SOUND:
This muffler will have a very similar tone to the OEM muffler, however, it will be a bit louder with PSE turned on. It will also sound a bit smoother and higher pitched thanks to our signature X-pipe.

POWER:
On our 997.1/ 997.2 GT3 and GT3RS test car, paired with our Side Muffler Muffler Bypass Pipes, the Rennsport Muffler picked up an impressive 27 ft/lbs of TQ down low at 3,200 RPM. From 2,900 RPM all the way to 5,700 RPM it picks up =12 horsepower or more, and peak power at the wheels is up from 446 to 454! That’s a gain of over 12 HP at the crank- from simply swapping out the fragile restrictive OEM Porsche 997GT3 to the very latest GT3 RS Titanium OEM factory mufflers. BEST ADVICE- but and install a Fabspeed GT3 center muffler and SAVE you fragile OEM GT3 muffler for Concours shows and restoration. All GT3 OEM mufflers BREAK & EXPLODE when driven long and hard enough.

Product Information
Fabspeed Sport Catalytic Converters.
The Fabspeed Sport Catalytic Converters are high-performance replacement catalytic converters developed for the Porsche 997.2 Turbo and Turbo S from 2010–2012.

Fits:
  • Porsche 997 MKII Turbo / Turbo S 2010-12

Designed to replace the restrictive factory catalytic-converter section, these Sport Cats use German HJS 200-cell catalytic converters combined with high-quality T304L stainless-steel pipework. The result is a freer-flowing exhaust path designed to improve power, throttle response and exhaust sound while retaining catalytic-converter functionality.

What This Product Does:

Catalytic converters form an important part of the vehicle's exhaust and emissions-control system.

Exhaust gases leaving the turbochargers pass through the catalytic converters before travelling through the remainder of the exhaust system. The catalyst promotes chemical reactions that convert harmful exhaust pollutants into less harmful gases before they leave the exhaust.

Performance catalytic converters perform the same fundamental role but use a less restrictive internal structure to improve exhaust flow.

The Fabspeed Sport Cats are designed to provide:

  • Increased exhaust flow
  • Reduced exhaust restriction
  • Improved power
  • Improved torque
  • Sharper throttle response
  • Increased performance potential
  • More noticeable flat-six exhaust sound
  • Reduced exhaust-system weight
  • Continued catalytic exhaust-gas treatment

Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
Catalytic converters operate under extremely high temperatures and can deteriorate through age, mileage, contamination or engine-related faults.

Common symptoms can include:

  • Check-engine warning light
  • Catalyst-efficiency fault codes
  • Reduced engine performance
  • Poor throttle response
  • Restricted exhaust flow
  • Unusual rattling from underneath the vehicle
  • Excessive exhaust heat
  • Sulphur-like or unusual exhaust smell
  • Poor acceleration
  • Increased fuel consumption
  • Failed emissions testing
  • Visible damage to the catalytic converter
  • Abnormal exhaust noise

A failed catalyst should be properly diagnosed before replacement.

Why Replacement Matters:
A damaged, contaminated or internally collapsed catalytic converter can restrict exhaust flow and interfere with engine performance.

Possible consequences include:

  • Reduced power
  • Poor acceleration
  • Increased exhaust backpressure
  • Excessive exhaust heat
  • Engine-management warning lights
  • Emissions faults
  • Increased fuel consumption

Fabspeed Sport Headers.

The Fabspeed Sport Headers are a high-performance replacement for the factory exhaust manifolds on the 2011 Porsche 997.2 GT2 RS.

Fits:

  • Porsche 997 MKII GT2 RS 2011-13

Designed to improve the flow of exhaust gases from the cylinder heads to the turbochargers, these headers provide a less restrictive exhaust path intended to improve engine response and turbocharger performance.

The system is manufactured from 14–16 gauge CNC mandrel-bent T304L stainless steel and incorporates high-velocity 3-into-1 merge collectors. These CAD-designed collectors bring the exhaust gases from each bank together efficiently before they reach the turbochargers, helping improve exhaust scavenging and minimise unnecessary turbulence.

Fabspeed designed the headers as a direct bolt-on replacement for the factory manifolds, making them suitable both as a performance upgrade and as a replacement for damaged or deteriorated original headers.

What This Product Does:
The exhaust headers collect combustion gases leaving the engine's cylinders and direct them towards the turbochargers.

On the twin-turbocharged GT2 RS, exhaust gas energy drives the turbine wheels that generate boost. Efficient exhaust flow before the turbochargers is therefore important for both engine breathing and turbo response.

The Fabspeed Sport Headers are designed to:

  • Improve exhaust gas flow
  • Reduce restriction before the turbochargers
  • Improve exhaust scavenging
  • Deliver exhaust gases more efficiently to the turbochargers
  • Support faster turbo boost response
  • Improve throttle response
  • Support increased engine performance
  • Replace ageing factory exhaust manifolds
  • Provide durable stainless-steel construction
  • Maintain smooth internal flow through mandrel-bent tubing

The high-velocity 3-into-1 merge collectors are designed to combine exhaust pulses smoothly and efficiently before the gases enter the turbochargers.

Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
Exhaust headers operate in an extremely demanding environment and are continually subjected to high temperatures, vibration and repeated thermal cycling.

Common signs of damaged or deteriorating headers include:

  • Ticking or tapping noises, particularly during a cold start
  • Blowing or hissing noises from the manifold area
  • Black soot deposits around header joints
  • Visible cracks in the manifold or welds
  • Exhaust leaks around the cylinder-head flanges
  • Warped or distorted mounting flanges
  • Broken or heavily corroded studs and nuts
  • Increased exhaust noise
  • Exhaust fumes around the engine compartment
  • Reduced throttle response
  • Slower or inconsistent turbo response
  • Loss of engine performance
  • Increased heat around nearby engine components

Similar symptoms can also be caused by failed exhaust gaskets, loose fasteners or leaks elsewhere in the exhaust system, so the complete assembly should be inspected before replacement.

Why Replacement Matters:
A secure and leak-free exhaust route between the cylinder heads and turbochargers is particularly important on a high-performance turbocharged engine.

If a header cracks or develops a leaking flange, exhaust gases can escape before they reach the turbocharger. This reduces the amount of exhaust energy available to drive the turbine and may contribute to slower boost response and reduced performance.

Escaping gases can also expose surrounding components to excessive heat and produce unwanted exhaust noise.

Replacing damaged headers helps restore:

  • A sealed exhaust path
  • Efficient exhaust delivery to the turbochargers
  • Consistent turbocharger response
  • Correct exhaust gas flow
  • Reduced exhaust leakage
  • Improved reliability around the manifold area

For vehicles with serviceable factory headers, upgrading to the Fabspeed system provides a freer-flowing design intended to improve exhaust scavenging, throttle response and turbo boost response.

Fabspeed Supersport X-Pipe (X-Pipe Only).
The Fabspeed Porsche 997.2 Turbo / Turbo S Supersport X-Pipe is a high-performance rear exhaust upgrade designed to replace the heavy and restrictive factory rear mufflers with a freer-flowing X-pipe configuration.

Fits:
  • Porsche 997 MKII Turbo / Turbo S 2010-12

Developed specifically for the Porsche 997.2 Turbo and Turbo S, the Supersport X-Pipe improves the route exhaust gases take through the rear of the vehicle, reducing restriction while delivering a stronger and more refined flat-six exhaust note.

Manufactured from 14–16 gauge CNC mandrel-bent T304L stainless steel, the system combines durability, corrosion resistance and efficient exhaust flow in a direct bolt-on package.

What This Product Does:
The factory rear mufflers are designed to keep exhaust noise within production-car requirements while maintaining refinement.

This inevitably introduces some restriction into the exhaust path.

The Fabspeed Supersport X-Pipe replaces the original rear mufflers with a freer-flowing crossover arrangement designed to improve exhaust-gas movement through the rear of the system.

The upgrade is designed to provide:

  • Improved exhaust flow
  • Reduced rear exhaust restriction
  • Improved performance potential
  • Stronger response throughout the RPM range
  • Moderate increase in exhaust volume
  • More refined performance exhaust tone
  • Enhanced turbocharged flat-six character
  • Reduced dependence on restrictive factory rear mufflers

Replaces The Factory Rear Mufflers:
  • The key function of this X-pipe is to replace the original rear muffler assemblies.
  • Factory mufflers contain internal chambers and sound-control structures that reduce exhaust volume but can also restrict gas flow.
  • Replacing these sections with the Supersport X-Pipe creates a less restrictive route through the rear exhaust system.
  • This makes the product primarily a performance and sound upgrade, although it can also replace deteriorated original rear muffler components where appropriate.

Enhanced Turbo Flat-Six Sound:
Fabspeed describes the Supersport X-Pipe as providing a moderate increase in exhaust volume together with a more refined flat-six tone than the original exhaust.

Drivers can expect:

  • Increased exhaust presence
  • More sporting flat-six tone
  • Stronger sound during acceleration
  • More pronounced character through the RPM range
  • A more engaging turbocharged Porsche exhaust note

The exact sound level will depend on the rest of the exhaust system fitted to the vehicle.

Performance Benefits:
Fabspeed states that the Supersport X-Pipe is designed to improve power throughout the RPM range.

However, the current product listing shows the specific horsepower, torque and weight figures as TBD.

For this reason, exact numerical gains should not be assumed.

Actual performance will depend on factors including:

  • Engine condition
  • Turbocharger condition
  • Existing exhaust configuration
  • Catalytic converters
  • ECU calibration
  • Intake modifications
  • Fuel quality
  • Ambient conditions
  • Vehicle specification

Why Upgrading Matters:
The original rear mufflers do not need to have failed before fitting the Supersport X-Pipe.

This product is primarily a performance and sound upgrade.

Reasons for upgrading include:

  • Freer-flowing rear exhaust design
  • Replaces restrictive factory rear mufflers
  • Improved exhaust flow
  • Improved performance potential

Fabspeed Supersport X-Pipe RACE Exhaust System.
The Fabspeed Supersport X-Pipe Exhaust System is a high-performance turbo-back exhaust upgrade developed for the Porsche 997.2 Turbo and Turbo S from 2010–2012.

Fits:
  • Porsche 997 MKII Turbo / Turbo S 2010-12

Designed to replace the heavy and restrictive factory rear mufflers and catalytic-converter section, the system improves exhaust-gas flow while producing a significantly stronger and more engaging Porsche flat-six exhaust note.

What This Product Does:

The exhaust system carries hot combustion gases away from the turbochargers and through the rear of the vehicle.

On a turbocharged engine, reducing unnecessary restriction after the turbochargers can improve exhaust flow and help the complete engine and turbo system operate more efficiently.

The Fabspeed Supersport X-Pipe replaces restrictive factory exhaust components with a freer-flowing performance design.

Its purpose is to provide:

Fabspeed XperTune Performance Software ECU Upgrade.
The Fabspeed XperTune Performance Software is an ECU performance upgrade developed for the Porsche 997.2 Carrera and Carrera S (2009–2012). Designed to optimise the factory engine calibration, the software improves horsepower, torque, throttle response and overall driving characteristics while retaining everyday drivability.

Fits:
  • Porsche 997 MKII Carrera C2 3.6L 2009-12
  • Porsche 997 MKII Carrera C4 3.6L 2009-12
  • Porsche 997 MKII Carrera C2S 3.8L 2009-12
  • Porsche 997 MKII Carrera C4S 3.8L 2009-12

Rather than requiring the ECU to be removed and sent away for bench flashing, the XperTune system uses an included handheld tuning device that connects to the vehicle through its OBD-II diagnostic port. The handheld is also connected to a Windows PC during the tuning process, allowing the original vehicle data to be read and a custom Fabspeed calibration to be loaded onto the car.

What This Product Does:

The XperTune software changes the calibration within the vehicle's engine control unit to optimise engine performance.

The factory ECU contains calibration data that determines how the engine responds under different operating conditions. Performance software modifies relevant parameters to make better use of the engine's capabilities.

The upgrade is designed to provide:

  • Increased horsepower
  • Increased torque
  • Improved throttle response
  • Sharper engine response
  • Improved acceleration
  • More responsive driving characteristics
  • Calibration tailored to the vehicle's configuration
  • Better integration with compatible performance modifications

The objective is not simply to increase peak output, but to improve the way the engine responds throughout normal and performance driving.

How Does The XperTune System Work?
One of the main advantages of the XperTune package is that the ECU does not normally need to be physically removed and mailed away for tuning.

The included handheld device communicates with the vehicle through the OBD-II port.

The tuning process involves:

  • Reading the vehicle's original ECU data using the handheld tuner.
  • Connecting the handheld device to a compatible Windows computer.
  • Sending the original vehicle data and relevant vehicle information to Fabspeed.
  • Fabspeed creates a calibration for the vehicle's specific configuration.
  • The custom tune file is returned electronically.
  • The tune is transferred to the handheld device.
  • The handheld is connected to the Porsche and the new calibration is written to the ECU.

This allows the tuning process to be completed without removing the ECU from the vehicle.

Why This Upgrade Matters:
The factory Porsche 997.2 Carrera already offers strong naturally aspirated performance, but ECU calibration provides an opportunity to optimise engine response without making major internal engine modifications.

The Fabspeed XperTune package can provide:

  • Increased horsepower and torque
  • Improved throttle response
  • Sharper acceleration
  • More responsive driving characteristics
  • Calibration tailored to the vehicle
  • Compatibility with suitable performance modifications
  • Convenient OBD-II flashing
  • No routine requirement to remove and ship the ECU
  • Ability to restore the factory ECU calibration

For owners seeking additional performance while retaining the fundamental character of the naturally aspirated 997.2 Carrera, ECU software can be an effective part of a wider performance upgrade package.
